Wisdom teeth are the last set of teeth to emerge in your mouth. They are the top and lower molars located in the back of your mouth.
Depending on your tolerance for pain, you will be provided with a local anesthetic or “laughing” gas to alleviate pain. If the tooth is impacted or beneath gum tissue, an incision will be made, and the tooth will be extracted. If the tooth cannot be extracted in a single pull, it will be broken into pieces to prevent neighboring teeth from shifting out of place. To keep bleeding at a minimum, gauze will be placed on top for optimum healing.
