If you are experiencing a dental emergency the first step is to stay calm and gently stop any bleeding if possible. Once the area is stable, call our office right away and we will make every effort to see you as soon as we can.
While we do our best to accommodate same day visits, there may be times when our schedule does not allow immediate treatment. In these situations we will still guide you over the phone and help you secure the most appropriate care, including referral to a trusted specialist or urgent care provider if needed.
If bleeding is heavy or does not stop, or if you have deep cuts or significant trauma, it is best to go directly to the nearest emergency room.
If a tooth has been knocked out, place it in a cup of milk or contact lens solution and bring it with you. Saving the tooth is sometimes possible if you act quickly. Many dental emergencies occur during sports, so consider asking us about a mouth guard to help protect your smile moving forward.
