If so, you’re not alone. But it’s still important to do it! Here are some tips on how to make brushing and flossing teeth easier and more enjoyable.
It’s no secret that brushing and flossing teeth is important for maintaining good oral health. But did you know that there’s a right way and a wrong way to brush and floss your teeth?
Here are 5 tips on brushing and flossing teeth:
A manual toothbrush or an electric toothbrush with soft bristles is best. Avoid using a hard-bristled brush, as this can damage your gums.
The toothpaste you use can make a huge difference to your oral health. Choose a fluoride toothpaste with the American Dental Association (ADA) Seal of Acceptance. Some people have specific conditions that require you to use specific toothpaste. Depending on your unique case, your dentist will tell you which one to use.
Hold your toothbrush against your teeth at a 45-degree angle and use gentle circular motions. Be sure to brush the front, back, and top of each tooth. Don’t forget to brush your tongue!
Wrap the floss around your middle fingers and hold it tight. Gently insert the floss between your teeth and use a back-and-forth motion. Be sure to floss under the gum line.
Even if you brush and floss correctly, it’s important to visit your dentist for professional cleanings and checkups.
So, there you have it – everything you need to know about brushing and flossing your teeth. Make sure to brush at least twice a day for two minutes each time, and floss once a day. And if you want to keep your pearly whites looking their best, visit your dentist every six months!
